How to reset my DEEBOT?

● Please turn ON the switch
● Please press the reset button for more than 6 seconds until there’s a music sound coming out.

What should I do when the DEEBOT goes down a stair during cleaning and cannot come back up?

● DEEBOT can cross stairs or door sills up to 1.9cm in height; its ability to go over obstacles will decrease slightly when it's equipped with a cloth for mopping.
● If there are stairs over 1.9cm in height, please open the app and create virtual boundaries in front of the stairs. DEEBOT will not enter the virtual boundaries for cleaning.

Why aren’t the Main Brush and/or Side Brushes rotating when DEEBOT is cleaning? What Should I do?

The Main Brush and/or Side Brushes may be tangled with hair or debris.
● Power OFF the DEEBOT and turn it over.
● Push the two tabs on the Main Brush Cover to remove it. Remove the Main Brush. Use the Cleaning Tool to cut off and remove any hair tangled around the Main Brush. The Main Brush can be rinsed under water however should be dried completely before it is reinstalled.
● Remove the Side Brushes. Wipe the Side Brushes and their slots with a dry cloth before reinstalling them.

What's the serial number? Where can I find it?

A serial number is a product's unique form of identification. It can be used to distinguish between any two DEEBOT models. The serial number will usually start with the letter ‘E’, followed by a sequence of numbers.

Serial numbers are printed on the original product box, usually on the narrow side. If you don't have the original box, you can find it on the robot itself. It's either on the bottom or remove the dustbin and look inside the robot.

What should I know when my DEEBOT is generating a map?

DEEBOT can save the map when it completes a cleaning cycle and return to the charging dock automatically. The DEEBOT won’t save the map if you control it to charge itself or you move it manually to other area to clean when it is in its first cleaning.

What should be done if DEEBOT accidentally vacuums up liquid?

Please turn off DEEBOT immediately. Remove the Dust Bin, Filters, Main Brush and allow them to dry completely before reinstalling them.
If the DEEBOT does not function normally after You’ve completed these steps, please contact Customer Service.

Why does DEEBOT spill dust when I move the robot manually?

If dust is spilling when you move DEEBOT by hand, the Dust Bin is probably too full. The Dust Bin should be emptied regularly for best cleaning performance. When moving DEEBOT manually, please lift the robot with both hands and keep the end marked with “DEEBOT” tilted slightly up to avoid spillage.

My house has a very large surface area, so my DEEBOT is unable to finish mapping. What should I do?

When a single-story home has an extremely large surface area (more than 200 square meters), the robot may run out of power and go into recharge mode, returning to its charging dock before mapping has been completed successfully. If mapping is interrupted for these reasons, the map will not be saved. In order to avoid this problem, we suggest you:
● Place the charging dock in a central location within your house and avoid putting it in a corner. If the charging dock is placed in a corner, the chances of DEEBOT failing to create a map are greatly increased.
● DEEBOT has a function called "Continuous Clean". This function is switched off by default. If your home has a very large surface area, we suggest you switch on this function. If this function is enabled, DEEBOT will remember how many maps it has created when it has run out of power. Once fully charged, the robot will activate automatically and continue to create any maps that are not yet complete.

Can DEEBOT mop on the floor with accumulated water?

Don’t let DEEBOT mop on the floor with too much water. Too much water on the floor may cause water to go into the machine and damage the robot.

Why is the map in the DEEBOT app lost and how can I restore a lost map?

● When you move DEEBOT or turn it off/on, DEEBOT needs to relocate its position on the map; if the positioning fails, the map on the main interface will be lost and a new, temporary map will be created;
● DEEBOT will generate a map when doing the very first cleaning task . If you move DEEBOT during this map generation process and then trigger cleaning, the robot will try to position itself. If the positioning fails, it will restart the cleaning. In this case, the original map will be lost and cannot be restored. Please let DEEBOT complete the cleaning and automatically return to the charging dock to save the map;
● If you move DEEBOT and then trigger cleaning when the map has already been saved, DEEBOT will try to position itself. If the positioning fails, it will restart the cleaning. You can carry DEEBOT back to the charging dock if you want to restore the map immediately.

What should I do when the DEEBOT gets stuck under the furniture and cannot finish the cleaning?

● DEEBOT may fail to complete the cleaning if its top cover or LDS component gets stuck at the bottom of a sofa or any furniture during the cleaning process;
● Please open the app and create virtual boundaries for the sofa or furniture at the corresponding positions on the map. Make sure that the sofa or furniture is within the specified virtual boundaries, so that DEEBOT will not enter the specific areas for cleaning;
● Use pads to raise the sofa or furniture so that DEEBOT can pass through smoothly during cleaning.

Why it takes too long before the mop getting completely wet? / Why is the DEEBOT leaving the floor too dry at the beginning of the clean cycle?

Please turn the water spray speed higher but be careful, after a period time of use, there might be too much water accumulated on mop/floor, this might cause the driving wheel sliding on floor. If this happens, please set the water spray speed lower and get rid of the extra water manually.
If problem persists, contact ECOVACS Customer Service.

Will my DEEBOT work on dark or black surface ?

The DEEBOT may not run on certain dark or black surfaces. The Infrared ray of anti-fall sensors may be absorbed by certain dark or black colored surface and recognize such area as an edge or a stair. When DEBOT encounters this surface, DEEBOT may run away from this surface. No adjustment can be done to correct this behavior.
Reminder: Please keep the anti-fall sensors clean and do not block the anti-fall sensors, as this may create an unsafe operating condition.

What should I do when the DEEBOT gets tangled and cannot finish the cleaning?

● During cleaning, DEEBOT's driving wheels, main brush, or side brushes may get tangled with the cables or other small objects on the floor, so please tidy them up in advance to ensure a smooth cleaning process;
● For cables or other objects that cannot be tidied up, please open the app and set virtual boundaries on the map; DEEBOT will not enter the virtual boundaries for cleaning.

What is Continuous Cleaning? Why doesn't it work sometimes?

The machine will automatically return to the charging dock if its battery runs low during cleaning. If it has not finished cleaning, the machine will automatically continue its cleaning cycle after charging.
1. Continuous Cleaning feature is turned off by default. Please check if it is turned on in the App.
2. Please check whether the Do Not Disturb switch is turned on. Continuous Cleaning will not be carried out in Do Not Disturb mode.
3. Make sure the machine is not powered off and on during automatic charging in Continuous Cleaning mode.
4. Please check whether the machine is in error state during Continuous Cleaning.

The water is not spraying out from the DEEBOT. What should I do?

● Ensure water tank and cleanning cloth plate are installed correctly.
● Pat the rear of the DEEBOT firmly for several times.
● Clean the water tank filter.

The water is spraying out at the beginning of the cycle, but not at the end. What should I do?

● Ensure you fill the water tank completely.
● The DEEBOT won’t spray out water while it is paused, or stuck or returning to the Charging Dock. It is normal.
● If problem persists, contact ECOVACS Customer Service.

Why does DEEBOT map disappear on the App after manually moving the unit? What should I do?

There is a low possibility that DEEBOT fails to locate itself and the map disappears on the App when users pick up and move the robot. If this happens, you can put the robot back on the charging dock and DEEBOT will automatically recover the map. Please avoid picking up and moving DEEBOT while it is cleaning.

Can I keep DEEBOT on the Charging Dock for an extended period of time?

Yes. After DEEBOT’s batteries are fully charged, the battery management system will reduce electricity to a trickle charge and DEEBOT will not be overcharged. We recommend keeping DEEBOT powered ON and on the Charging Dock so it is ready to clean at any time.

I bought a DEEBOT in China but can’t use it in the country I'm in. What should I do?

● The power supply used on a day-to-day basis in China is 220 V and 50 Hz and the standard adopted for DEEBOT’s charging cable is different to that of many other countries. We therefore advise you to buy a new charging dock that fits your DEEBOT model number in your own country.
● Download the app: The name of the app used for the Chinese version of DEEBOT is “科沃斯机器人”, or “ECOVACS HOME”. You can currently find the ECOVACS HOME app on both the App Store and the Play Store, but the 科沃斯机器人 app will not show up when you search for it. The ECOVACS which comes up is not the same as 科沃斯机器人. The 科沃斯机器人 app can only be found on the App Store and Play Store in China.
● Register your Ecovacs account number: When register, you must choose “China” as your country and use a Chinese mobile number to register.

Why does DEEBOT move around in circles and backwards after starting up?

● The Anti-Drop Sensors on the bottom of DEEBOT may be covered with dust.
Wipe the Anti-Drop Sensors with provided Cleaning Tool to maintain their effectiveness.
● The Driving Wheels may be tangled with hair or debris.
Use the provided Cleaning Tool to cut off and remove any hair/debris tangled around the Driving Wheels.
● The Bumper rail may be stuck. Press each side of the bumper rail to see if it rebounds automatically.
If the problem persists, please contact ECOVACS Customer Service.

DEEBOT is cleaning with a louder noise than normal. What should I do?

It happens because the Dust Bin is full, the suction intake is blocked, or the Main Brush/Side Brushes is tangled with dirt and debris.
Regular maintenance is important for DEEBOT to keep its peak cleaning performance
● Turn OFF the Power Switch.

What does DEEBOT do if it meets an obstacle, like furniture?

DEEBOT has an active obstacle detection system to helps it avoid contact your furniture, walls and household items. Anti-Collision Sensors are on-board the robot. When the sensors detect an obstacle, a signal will be sent to DEEBOT’s “brain” to slow down, change direction and select a new cleaning path. If the object is very low to the ground, 1.5” or smaller in height, DEEBOT may gently touch the obstacle with its mechanical cushion bumper before turning around.

Why won't the DEEBOT perform scheduled tasks?

● Please check whether you've turned on the Do Not Disturb mode. DEEBOT will not carry out scheduled tasks in this mode;
● Please check whether DEEBOT is powered on;
● Please check whether DEEBOT is in Low Battery status. It will not start scheduled tasks in this status;
● Please check whether DEEBOT is in Faulty status. It will not start scheduled tasks in this status.

Why does DEEBOT map disappear on the App after turning off the power switch on DEEBOT? What should I do?

You may find your map “disappeared” on the App after turning off the power switch on DEEBOT. If this happens, please put DEEBOT back on the charging dock and DEEBOT will automatically recover the map.

DEEBOT did not detect a drop off, like stairs. What should I do?

The anti-Drop Sensors may be too dirty. Wipe the Anti-Drop Sensors with a dry mop to maintain their effectiveness.

If the problem persists, please contact ECOVACS Customer Service
